Private lessons

MBSS lessons are aimed at effectively working with you to improve your skiing technique. Because people often feel held back by others—or worry about holding others back—the MBSS approach is basically all-private lessons, based on 40-minute, one-on-one sessions. Take as many sessions as you like, even a whole day (and the price is still reasonable). We're happy to take two persons or more as well; we suggest that you take at least two sessions in this case.

Private lessons are the best way for those who have specific goals in mind, or for those who have not yet progressed to linked telemark turns.

Ski and Boot Rentals

Number of rental skis limited*. We have skis that are both wide and ideal for beginners, as well as skinny skis for backcountry snow hiking. Plastic and leather boots available.

For backcountry tours, avalanche beacon, snowshoes, collapsible pole, shovel and other equipment rentals are available (please let us know your needs). Everyone going into the backcountry should carry at least a beacon, shovel and probe (talk to us before your tour!).

*On weekdays, rental is just ¥1,000 for those taking lessons
